Maria de todos los Angeles

Maria de todos Los Angeles (Mara Escalante) is a 30 something woman who is waiting to meet the love of her life. Daily she prays to all her angels for him appear. One day she meets Albertano Santacruz (Ariel Miramontes) a romantic handsome guy who aspires to be a country singer. He has just returned home after attempting to cross the border without any success. Albertano has a typical over-protective Mexican mother named Doña Lucha (played by Mara Escalante as well) who hates Maria de todos Los Angeles. She will do everything in her power to keep Albertano and Maria apart.
